What shape boat cushions?
The shape you need for boat cushions is probably not listed among our custom cushions. Don't worry. This is because the shapes of boat cushions can differ greatly from each other.
Think of curves or corners that have been removed or added to the cushion. However, there are different ways to approach making your custom boat cushions.
Determining boat cushion measurements
Option 1: boat cushions with a working drawing
In this case, we make the cushions based on the supplied measurements/shapes. Note that with curves, it is a bit more challenging to make it clear with a drawing (and often less precise). If you can make a mold (option 2), the cushion will have almost the exact shape and size.
Option 2: boat cushions with a mold
You can make a mold by laying newspaper, a template, or wrapping paper on the spot where the cushion will go and then drawing and cutting out the shape/spot. The cushion will then have this exact size/shape.
- Lay newspaper or wrapping paper on the spot where your cushion will go
- Draw a line on the paper to replicate the shape exactly and cut it out
- Fold the paper and send the mold to us (MyPilloo, Leemskuilen 5, 5563 CK Westerhoven)
Option 3: standard boat cushions
Cushions for a boat can be provided with standard shapes. We look at the boat, your wishes, and the sizes to determine which shapes can be made as standard.

Fabrics and fillings
The choice of fabric and filling is very personal. First, preferences for sitting or lying comfort play a role (soft, medium, hard). The degree to which the boat cushion gets wet also determines the choice of these two ingredients.
