Determining Size
For all cushions, except flock cushions
Measure your chair or sofa and enter these dimensions. You do not need to order extra centimeters. If your cushion is between elements, such as armrests, subtract 0.5 to 1 cm from the width.
For flock cushions
For flock cushions, specific points of attention apply to determine the sizes. Refer to the "Instructions and tips" below the 3D view of the cushion on this page for instructions on length, width, and thickness.
Color
Select the color(s) here. With 4 "Fabric," you will only see the fabrics available in your chosen color.
Inside and Outside
Each fabric in the configurator indicates in parentheses whether it is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Color Fastness
All fabrics have different colorfastness ratings. Some fabrics fade faster than others.
Each filling corresponds to specific preferences. View the 6 options below:
- SG25: firm/sturdy, for back cushions and budget-friendly.
- SG35 (medium): medium, water-permeable, quick-drying, mold-resistant, for outdoor use.
- SG35 (hard): firm/sturdy, for seat cushions and budget-friendly.
- HR30: soft/medium, resilient, quick-drying, and durable.
- HR50: "lounge" filling, resilient, quick-drying, and durable.
- Quick dry: firm, water-permeable, quick-drying, mold-resistant, for outdoor use.
- Flock filling: fine pieces of polyether, standard for flock (back) cushions.
Zipper
We recommend placing the zipper on the longest side so that you can easily remove the cover from the filling.
Note: if the longest side is visible, it is better not to do this.
3. Color Explanation

Instructions and tips
Special shape for L-shaped or U-shaped sofas
Note: If you use a slanted backrest pillow for an L-shaped or U-shaped sofa, you need a special shape for the corner, which is not standard on our site. Contact us by email for this.
Thickness at the top and bottom
The difference between the thickness at the bottom and the thickness at the top is half, with a maximum difference of 8 cm (assuming a height between 32 and 48 cm).
Maximum length/width
We can make almost any size. A pillow up to 200 to 220 cm looks the best. The larger the pillow, the greater the chance that the fabric will not look as nice around the pillow and may wrinkle.
Therefore, we recommend dividing larger pillows into parts that are a maximum of 200 to 220 cm long. For example, a 4-meter pillow consists of 2 parts of 200 cm each.

Frequently asked questions about pillows with a slanted backrest
-
When should I use a slanted backrest?
A slanted backrest is a pillow that is often used as a backrest, with the sofa sloping slightly in the back. Think of lounge sofas and garden benches.
Four measurements apply to a pillow with a slanted backrest: length/width, height, thickness at the bottom, and thickness at the top. The difference between the thickness at the bottom and the thickness at the top is half, with a maximum difference of 8 cm (assuming a height between 32 and 48 cm).
Note that if you use a slanted backrest pillow on an L-shaped or U-shaped sofa, you need a special shape for the corner, which is not standard on our site (see image below). You can request this via
-
Should I use actual measurements?
Yes, you do not need to enter extra centimeters. There are a few exceptions:
- - If the cushion gets stuck somewhere, for example between two walls or armrests, we recommend taking off 0.5 to 1 cm in width per cushion for extra clearance. Otherwise, the fabric may start to fold.
- - If you use the cord finishing (which is outside the dimensions), you need to take an extra half centimeter off the length of the cushion.
-
Is there a maximum size for my cushion with slanted back?
In principle, there is no maximum size, but we do advise to stick to certain maximum sizes for the best result in terms of shape and shape retention. For a tight cushion, the maximum length is 200 cm to 220 cm.
If the cushion becomes longer, there is a chance that it will no longer look as tight. This is because the fabric has a little stretch, which can cause small folds at long lengths. However, you can easily smooth them out.
-
Can there be a deviation in the dimensions of the cushion?
The cushions are handmade, so there may always be a slight deviation. Of course, we do our best to make your cushions as precisely as possible. The margin within which the finishing should remain is 1 cm (- / +) per 100 cm cushion.
